Back to Work
Well interesting turn of events. I was scheduled to start my two weeks of work prior to the school year yesterday but my husband had other plans. Saturday afternoon when he got up he was really complaining of his stomach hurting. He'd had a spell with his stomach back in late June that sent him to the ER, but had been feeling better. We had been receiving the bills the past couple weeks for all the outlandish charges that come with a 30 minute ER visit so when he called Saturday night to tell me has was leaving work (which he never misses) and going to the ER I knew something was up. After a CT Scan, he was off by ambulance to Tyler hospital. Two hours away for an emergency appendectomy. He's doing ok, but it was scary. Nothing like seeing the man you love, who is your rock being wheeled off to surgery.
Back to work this week and next. Then school starts back. I can't wait to see how much the kids have grown. I'm so thankful to have a job where I get to be a part of kids' lives and watch them grow.
Have a great week everyone!

Oh internet I miss you so!
So, I don't have internet yet and I'm about to explode. I sneak into my in-law's computer room as often as I can to run through and catch up. Justin spent most of the day on the phone trying to get internet through our sattelite company today. It's way more expensive but I sacrificed other things cause I have so many people from all over that I keep in touch with and internet is the only way with my hearing like it is. He had a problem getting anyone who spoke english or could understand him. I won't even tell you how mad that made him. He had to take a break and come eat at Granny's then he'll try again when we get home.
I'll just say I abolutely adore my new log cabin. It's so wonderful and I'm almost dreading going back to school Monday. The pool has been wonderful and I've got the best tan I've had in years. So peaceful. Can't wait to post the pictures for you guys.
I love you all and miss the daily interaction and uplifting I get from my blog family!!

Where I've Been
We don't have internet at the new house yet. We've been working literally night and day and it's pretty much finished. It's been so hot!! I'm not sure what I was thinking moving in the dead of summer in Texas!! I have a top lip completely full of fever blisters. Lovely I know!
We are going tomorrow to see about getting internet service through our cell phone company. Downfall to living out in the country is that it's really hard to get internet. I'm having withdrawals.
Hope to be back in commission soon!

Just Getting Started......
Well, we were able to get into the house to put our new bedroom furniture in our room. The lady we bought the house from just has a few of her things to pick up tomorrow. She left a lot of stuff I wasn't expecting so that's always nice. I liked a lot of her western stuff and was so pleased to see what stayed. My camera lens was dirty but my niece Rikki took a a few pictures for me. A lot of them had spots or made everything look dirty. Here's a few for now. I'm sure we will be really busy the next couple of days!

In Case I Hadn't Mentioned It
We are moving in three short days!! Well, actually Justin is working all weekend, but my Mom & I will be moving small stuff on Sunday. I'm hoping to get all the kitchen stuff put away before we start moving the furniture in. Justin says we are staying there Sunday night even if we have to sleep on the floor. We are excited to move into our special new place.
Saturday will be Greg's twin's 3rd birthday party. It's a Hawaiian them party and Greg is cooking his famous pork kabobs. They are so delicious. Big weekend for me for sure!!

Go away Stuart Little
Oh my goodness! Have I ever mentioned that I HATE, and I do mean HATE mice? Well I do. I've been having a few problems with my right ear since we did so much swimming last week and so last night I had put some medicine in my ear and laid down and was going to let it soak in before taking a nice warm bath to relax me enough to sleep. I turned over and what was sitting on my hope chest looking at me? Yep a freaky little mouse!!! I'm not sure if the mouse had got into the poison or what because it moved slowly and didn't seem a bit alarmed by me, Jacob, or the two dogs in the room. Jacob and I each got a broom and tried everything in the world to get the mouse to run out so we could smash it or something. I have my doubts that I would have been able to hit it or hurt it no matter how much I hate them. We finally gave up and decided to lay down with the light on because we were both scared it would scurry across the bed while we were sleeping. My heart was pounding and I was steadily texting Justin at work. I'm sure he was laughing at me but I freak out seeing the scurry! A couple hours later I see the thing run out of the room into the hallway. All the beating, banging, and furniture moving did nothing to get the mouse out but when we got quiet it ran away. Needless to say, I didn't get my warm bath or sleep ANY last night. But, I guess I can look at the bright side and say it wasn't boring. Justin went to the store and got me some traps when he got home from work. Ewww, makes me shiver just thinking of it! Imagine being brave enough for marriage, childbirth, and raising a teenager but being scared of a little mouse!
